Banarasi Halwa Recipe: By now you must have heard about Banarasi Paan, but today we are going to tell you about Banarasi Halwa. Those who are fond of eating sweets, they are going to like it very much. You must have eaten Semolina Halwa, Carrot Halwa and Moong Dal Halwa many times but today we are going to tell you the easy recipe of Banarasi Halwa. If you are also going to impress everyone by making this special halwa at your home, then follow our recipe.

Banarasi Halwa Recipe: Ingredients

2 cups – Pumpkin
3 cups – milk
3 to 4 cups – Sugar
1/2 cup – desi ghee
3/4 cup – Mawa (khoya)
14 to 15- Almonds
14 to 15- Cashews
1/2 tsp – cardamom powder

Recipe

  • To make Banarasi Halwa, first cut the pumpkin properly and take out its soft pulp after cutting it.
  • Now take off the peel from above and keep it aside and then grind the pumpkin in the mixer and make a paste out of it.
  • Now keep a pan on the gas for heating and heat the milk in it on medium flame.
  • Keep in mind that you keep stirring the milk with a spoon in between.
  • When the milk starts boiling, add the pumpkin paste and mix it well.
  • Let it cook for a while and keep stirring it in between with a spoon so that it does not burn.
  • When it starts thickening, turn off the gas.
  • Place another pan on the gas and add ghee to it and heat it.
  • After this, fry dry fruits like cashew-almond in it.
  • After this, fry the mawa i.e. khoya well in ghee.
  • Add sugar according to taste and cook on medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • After this add milk and pumpkin mixture to it.
  • Now stir this mixture well and add cardamom powder along with fried dry fruits on top.
  • Your Banarasi Halwa is ready, now serve it hot.
