Arthritis Pain Solution: Patients with arthritis may experience excruciating joint discomfort during the winter. In India, arthritis, a chronic condition brought on by inflammation, swelling, or stiffness in the joints, affects millions of people.

There are several herbs that can assist manage the condition and reduce pain. A message on plants that help ease joint discomfort was shared on Instagram by nutritionist Lovneet Batra. More than 180 million people in India suffer from arthritis, according to the caption she added.

According to the dietician, two common types of arthritis that are linked to excruciating joint pain and a decreased quality of life are osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

“Living with arthritis and bearing all the swelling and pain in the joints is not easy. The movement restriction and unbearable pain can make everyday tasks difficult for arthritis patients. Fortunately, dietary changes can significantly reduce the inflammation and help in managing the disease,” the expert shared, listing five herbs that could provide some comfort to an arthritis patient.

5 herbs that can help reducing Arthritis Pain

Aloe Vera: Anti-inflammatory qualities are found in aloe vera. The gel contains anthraquinones, which aid in the relief of arthritis.

Turmeric (haldi): Its major constituent, curcumin, has anti-inflammatory qualities.

Thyme: It has anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties.

Ginger: Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties, including the ability to suppress inflammatory molecules called leukotrienes and to synthesize prostaglandins that cause pain and inflammation.

Garlic: Garlic contains diallyl disulphide, an anti-inflammatory compound that decreases the effects of pro-inflammatory cytokines.
