Winter Special Recipe: In this winter season, it becomes very important to improve food and drink to avoid diseases and to keep the body healthy and warm. For this, here is a recipe for ‘Aate Ki Pinni’ which can be consumed with milk in the morning and will give strength to the body, and also protect from seasonal diseases.

Aate Ki Pinni: Ingredients

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 2 tbsp fine semolina
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (or powdered jaggery)
  • 1 cup melted ghee
  • ¼ cup raisins
  • ¾ tsp cardamom powder
  • ¼ cup chopped almonds and pistachios
  • ¼ cup grated coconut

Recipe

1. To make Aate Ki Pinni, heat ghee in a pan. Add wheat flour and semolina to it and fry on low flame.

2. Keep stirring the mixture so that it does not burn. As soon as the colour of the flour becomes dark, add grated coconut to it.

3. When the colour of the material turns light brown, take it off the gas.

4. Add cardamom powder, raisins and chopped nuts to the prepared mixture. After this mix, it all and rub it with your hands. If the dough is getting dry then add milk as required.

5. Allow the mixture to cool and when it comes to room temperature, make a tight fist and press the mixture between your fingers. Make pinnias, keep them in a tight container and consume them daily with milk.
