In India, tattooing has only recently taken off. One of the earliest people to introduce and bring tattoos to the general public in the country was Tony Singh. Tony Singh is the founder of Hawk Tattoos, a tattoo studio that is recognized as one of the best in terms of quality, style, and design. Tony gives unconditional credit to his father for giving him the space and freedom to go ahead with his passion.

But this dream was not designed and made a success in one day. There is a long story behind the ideation of Hawk Studios as we know it.

In his own words, Tony Singh says, “There was a robbery that took place which made us realise the true colours of people around us. It was a phase that made me crave a different path for myself and I struggled with various odd jobs – from sales to car repair to driving a school van. Though it gave me immense experience, I also realised that all of this was not my calling and I was made for something bigger than all of this.”

It was only when a friend living outside of India called Tony to explore other opportunities that he came across the concept of temporary tattoo-making and decided to bring it to India.

Tony Singh did not look back. He came back to Delhi and started practising airbrush tattooing during various night events to understand the intricacies of this art. He received a lot of appreciation and calls for events and eventually in 2007, Tony Singh set up his first professional temporary tattoo studio in TDI Mall – and that’s how Hawk Tattoo was born.

Tony’s mantra was always clear. He focused on art. Tony Singh has actively recruited many Indian and foreign artists.

Over the years, Hawk Tattoo has garnered a clientele consisting of some of the top Bollywood celebrities and artists in the country. Owing to the excellent service at the studio, most of these celebrities have become repeat customers.

Even celebrities like Taapsee Pannu, Krishna Shroff, Gautam Gulati, B Praak, Badshah, Raftaar, and Carryminati among others carry the designs of Hawk Tattoo.
