New Delhi: After the announcement of a complete nationwide lockdown by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has assured the people of the state that the government is doing everything possible to help them battle the coronavirus crisis.
He has announced that the state government will take all neccesary steps to provide basic necessities to people right at their doorsteps.
Yogi has said that with the co-operation of the administration, milk and essential goods will be delivered to people’s homes. This is being done to ensure that people do not have to leave their homes for milk and vegetables.
The COVID-19 virus, which originated in China, has affected more than 195 countries around the world. The situation has become dangerous in 50 countries.
A total of 35 countries, including India, are under complete lockdown.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Tuesday and announced a 21-day lockdown, which is being imposed throughout the country.
During this period, an appeal has been made not to leave anyone out of the house, although shops of essential goods will remain open. Ration shops were crowded only after PM Modi’s announcement, but the Home Ministry has assured that there is no need to panic.
Guidelines have been issued by the Central Government on complete lockdown. According to which all the necessary services will continue. Hospitals, medical stores, banks will remain open.
Ration, vegetables, milk shops will remain open. So we are repeatedly saying that you do not need to panic. Everything needed will be found.
The entire lockdown is to save you, us and India. Just stay in the house for 21 days and help avoid a catastrophe.
In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that people should not come out, the government will try to take people’s goods home.
The Delhi Police has set up a helpline center, which will work for 24 hours.
In Ranchi, Jharkhand, the district administration has issued a WhatsApp number. On this number, people can get goods from the administration by making a list according to their needs.
For the next 21 days, for this, the administration has also issued two helpline numbers. 104 and 1950 have been launched, people can call these numbers in case of any kind of problem.
The governments of other states and Union Territories have also issued helpline numbers.
An advisory has also been issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs as well as the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade regarding the coronavirus outbreak, in which it has been said that the supply of food items will not be closed. Shops selling essential goods will also be open.
Employees working in all groceries, pharmacy and manufacturing units will continue to work. At the same time, the movement of trucks or other vehicles bringing the raw material of essential goods will continue.
According to the advisory of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the following facilities will remain open:
– Vegetable, ration, medicine, fruit shops
– Banks, insurance offices and ATMs
– Print and electronic media
– Internet, broadcast and cable service
– Delivery of medicine, medical treatment through e-commerce
– Petrol pumps, LPG pumps, gas retail
– Private security services
– Hospitals, dispensaries, clinics, nursing homes
