The NCC Directorate, Bihar and Jharkhand, proudly announces the undertaking of the Veer Birsa Munda Cyclothon under the aegis of the NCC Group Headquarters, Ranchi, with the theme “Shaurya Ke Kadam Kranti Ki Ore”, a landmark initiative celebrating the legacy of the tribal icon Veer Birsa Munda and promoting national unity. This historic initiative sets the stage for the larger journey ahead, celebrating the legacy of Veer Birsa Munda and inspiring collective participation in the cause of national integration and cultural pride. This inspiring journey will be conducted in two phases.
The first leg of the remarkable journey will take place from 18 to 20 December 2025, spanning three different axes through the sacred soil of Jharkhand, touching key locations that echo with the footsteps of Veer Birsa Munda. This leg will see the dedicated participation of NCC Officers, Permanent Staff, and NCC Cadets, including girl cadets, providing a true representation of unity, discipline, and inclusiveness. This phase will culminate at the Morabadi Ground, Ranchi, in a grand reception.
The second leg will be a challenging and inspiring journey from Ranchi to New Delhi, covering almost 1300 KMs through Bihar, UP, Haryana, and Delhi over a period of 20 days, which will be Seen Off from Birsa Munda Jail Complex, Ranchi on 28 December 2025. This journey from Ranchi to New Delhi will carry the message of unity, courage, and cultural pride across the nation by a team of two Officers, two Permanent Staff, and 16 NCC cadets, proudly including girl cadets, the brave young ambassadors of Jharkhand, bubbling with Veer Birsa Munda’s indomitable spirit. This leg will culminate in a grand homecoming at the Prime Minister’s Rally on 28 January 2026 in New Delhi, which will be a befitting tribute to Dharti Aaba Veer Birsa Munda at the highest national platform.
This Veer Birsa Munda Cyclothon is more than just a journey on bicycles. It is a movement that promotes physical endurance, cultural pride, and national unity. It brings together our glorious past and our aspirational future, powered by the vibrant energy of our NCC cadets. As the team rides across towns and states, it will be carrying not only the story of Veer Birsa Munda but also the story of the confident and resilient state of New Jharkhand.
