The Uttar Pradesh government and Patanjali Yogpeeth have jointly prepared a plan to change the economic condition of villages. Yogi Adityanath’s government has decided to make the state’s cow shelters the center of rural industries, not limiting them to just the protection of cows. Under this scheme, Panchgavya products like cow urine, cow dung, Ayurvedic goods made from milk and biogas will be produced on a large scale, which will make the villages self-reliant and prosperous.
Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna’s Patanjali Yogpeeth will play an important role in this transformative initiative. Recently in Haridwar, Shyam Bihari Gupta, Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Gau Seva Commission, Baba Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna have signed this partnership. Patanjali will assist the government in technical training, formulation, quality control, certification and licensing.
The model of cow shelters will change in 75 districts of UP. Under this scheme, 2 cow shelters of each district will be developed as large model centers, where along with the care of cows, new employment opportunities will also be created for the villagers. Villagers will play an active role in cow urine collection and sale of Panchagavya products, for which they will also get up to 50% commission.
Technologically, this scheme is state-of-the-art, in which smart technologies like geo-fencing, cow tagging, photo mapping and fodder tracking will be used in cow shelters. Apart from this, natural farming will be encouraged by promoting neem, vermicompost and cow urine based natural resources in villages, which will reduce the cost of farming, increase soil fertility and protect the environment. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath says that “the foundation of village progress is in the cow” and this scheme will make the villages economically strong by realizing this thought.
