Acidity, also known as acid reflux is a medical condition caused by the overproduction of acid in the stomach. In this condition, the amount of acid in the stomach increases, causing a burning sensation, and the gas rises up to the throat, leading to heartburn. In such cases, you can try the remedies suggested by Ayurvedic expert Acharya Balkrishna. Acharya Balkrishna has explained how consuming coriander seeds can relieve acidity and soothe the stomach. He says that this remedy prevents stomach problems.
Home remedies for acidity
Acharya Balakrishna explained that there is a powder that, when consumed, provides relief from acidity. This powder is made from coriander and rock sugar. Grinding coriander seeds and mixing them with powdered rock sugar (Mishri) provides quick relief from acidity. To prepare this, take coriander powder and mix it with twice the amount of powdered rock sugar. You can store this powder in an air tight container. Taking one teaspoon of this powder in the morning and evening provides relief from acidity, stomach burning, throat burning, and sour burps.
To get relief from this problem, besides coriander and rock sugar, you won’t need to eat anything else. Acharya Balkrishna says that this powder can be consumed whenever you experience stomach upset. People who suffer from constipation often experience acidity. In such cases, if you have constipation, you can consume Triphala juice and Psyllium Husk (Isabgol). Additionally, drinking Amla and Aloe Vera juice provides relief from acidity. This will keep your stomach healthy, resolve gastric problems, and prevent acidity.
