Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Singh unveiled ‘Easy Registry’ system making Punjab the country’s first state to ensure a smooth, rapid, and transparent property registration experience for its people.
CM Mann said on Thursday, People can draft sale information on online platforms or via Sewa Kendras at the sum of Rs 500, making document submissions and payment handled digitally through a single online gateway. A dedicated helpline, 1076, has been provided under the “Sarkar Tuhade Dwaar” initiative for support, and Sewa Sahayaks will even collect documents from citizens at their doorstep.

Additionally, citizens can register to any sub-registrar office in the districts, where earlier, people had to travel to the specific property office. This process was a tireless one and was susceptible to delays and corruption.
Officials can file objections only within a fixed 48-hour timeframe, after which any issues are immediately sent to the Deputy Commissioner for review. People receive instant status alerts and can lodge bribery-related complaints via WhatsApp.
Making it more consumer-friendly with upgrading the Mohali Sub-Registrar office as a help desk and a comfortable waiting area to streamline smooth registration.
CM Mann’s initiative minimizes corruption and enhances governance, contrasting it with previous governments’ lack of continuous developmental efforts. It is the beginning of a smooth and transparent land record management.
