Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann Singh held a Strategic discussion virtually with delegation of Japan regarding a partnership in key sectors of advanced manufacturing, mobility, electronics, food processing, renewable energy, and global services.
CM Mann along with cabinet minister Sanjeev Arora held this discussion on Wednesday with representatives of the Embassy of Japan, Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry in India (JCCII), and over 25 leading Japanese companies operating across India such as Panasonic, Sumitomo, Nippon, NEC, Toyota and others.
CM Mann extended his warm welcome to the delegates as they move towards Punjab’s new phase of industrial revolution.
Sanjeev Arora stated the FastTrack Punjab digital platform now offers over 200 Government-to-Business services, ensuring approvals within 45 working days and supported by legally enforceable auto-deemed clearances.
The Minister highlighted that Punjab has bought more than ₹ 1.39 Lakh Crore in Industrial investments which created employment of 5.09 lakh jobs. Additionally, the state is strengthening its power infrastructure with an outlay of ₹5,000 crore earmarked to meet the state’s upcoming industrial and renewable energy requirements.
The discussion played a crucial role in building in Punjab’s global engagement strategy ahead of the 6th Progressive Punjab Investors’ Summit that would be held from March 13–15, 2026, at ISB Mohali.
