Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann recently visited Ajnala’s Bhalla Pind village in Amritsar and met several families who were affected due to the floods. He distributed relief checks as financial assistance to them under the mission ‘Chardi Kala’. During his visit, the Chief Minister was accompanied by administrative officials and local public representatives.
Bhagwant Mann Government Stands With Affected Families
CM Bhagwant Mann assured the public that his government stands with the flood-affected families impacted due to the natural disaster. Meanwhile, he assured that no one would be deprived of financial assistance and directed officials to promptly complete the relief and rehabilitation work so that families could return to their normal living conditions.
The Chief Minister also mentioned that the state administration has taken concrete steps to protect people during disasters in the past and will ensure negligible damage to livelihood in the future. Bhagwant Mann assured that financial help will be provided to all the needy families after assessing the losses. Notably, rising water levels of the Ravi River during the rainy season caused flooding in Ajnala, Ramdas, and surrounding villages, causing significant damage to the crops, homes, and livestock of farmers.
Damaged Roads And Routes To Be Rebuilt
The people of Bhalla Pind expressed their gratitude to the CM, saying that his visit has restored their hope. Mann took stock of the situation in the village and reviewed the relief and rehabilitation work. He directed the officials to execute the work of repairing roads, homes, and crops damaged due to the recent floods. “This government is a people’s government, and people will not be left alone in times of crisis. We are committed to assisting every family,” he said.
