Anant Shri Vibhooshit Shri Shri 1008 Mahamandaleshwar Swami Sandeependra Giri Ji Maharaj, the Peethadheeshwar of Maa Baglamukhi Siddhpeeth, a devotee of Maa Baglamukhi and a practitioner of Maa Bhagwati, recently shared his insights on the 51 Shaktipeeths and 10 Mahavidyas.
Swami Sandeependra Giri Ji Maharaj explained that the 51 Shaktipeeths came into existence when Lord Shiva carried the charred body of Devi Sati across the universe, and her body parts fell at various locations. Some of the prominent Shaktipeeths include Kamakhya Temple (Assam), Ambaji Temple (Gujarat), Kalighat Temple (Kolkata), Vaishno Devi (Jammu and Kashmir), Avanti Devi (Ujjain), and Naina Devi Temple (Himachal Pradesh).

Swami Ji also discussed the impact of the 10 Mahavidyas, which include Kali, Tara, Tripura Sundari, Bhuvaneshwari, Bhairavi, Chhinnamasta, Dhoomavati, Baglamukhi, Matangi, and Kamalatmika. He stated that practicing these Mahavidyas leads to the attainment of material comforts and liberation from bondage. Among these, the eighth Mahavidya, Maa Baglamukhi, is the most significant, as she is the goddess of power and knowledge. Worshiping her grants victory over enemies, intelligence, and knowledge. The supreme power of Maa Baglamukhi’s worship – although it is a challenging spiritual practice, it offers the greatest reward, as it directly paves the way for the divine blessings of the goddess.
