The land in question—previously barren and unproductive—is now set to be transformed into a thriving agricultural hub, contributing to farmer prosperity and regional development. Speaking on the occasion, Acharya Balkrishna stated that under the vision of Swami Ramdev, Patanjali is ready to bring to life the dream of empowering farmers through its dedicated service initiative.

“When we integrate our national spirit and duty with social responsibility and public welfare, we can accomplish great missions,” he said. Acharya Balkrishna explained that Patanjali has crafted a holistic development plan aimed at enhancing farmer prosperity, generating employment, and boosting regional growth under the state’s industrial policy and investment promotion framework.

As part of this initiative, an industrial park will be developed in the village of Ghurehta in Mauganj district. The project is designed not only to stimulate economic development but also to raise awareness, promote skill development, and build a self-reliant agricultural sector.

The initiative includes the creation of a comprehensive agriculture-based model featuring crop diversification, training centres, seed units, and primary processing units to equip farmers with improved resources and technical support. Additionally, local residents will benefit from Patanjali’s education and healthcare services.

Acharya Balkrishna highlighted that Patanjali has already been working towards crop diversification in the state, aiming to enhance local agricultural productivity and improve the livelihood of farmers. He emphasised that the successful implementation of the project is expected to significantly increase farmer incomes, making them economically stronger.

Furthermore, the plan is set to reduce dependency on chemical fertilisers, pesticides, and excessive water use, thereby lowering production costs and enabling farmers to adopt more sustainable practices. With its effective execution, the initiative will play a crucial role in enriching the agricultural sector, improving farmer skills through training, generating employment, and boosting both social development and tourism in the region.

Present at the occasion were U.K. Tiwari, Executive Director, MPIDC Limited, Rewa; General Manager Navendu Shukla; and Executive Engineer K.K. Garg, among others.
