“Medicine Man Of UP” Rajesh Singh Dayal’s Social Initiative: Free Health Camp Organized In Lucknow Jail, Cabinet Minister Dara Singh Chauhan In Attendance

Rajesh Singh Dayal, the “Medicine Man of UP,” organized a free health camp for Lucknow Jail inmates, offering consultations, medicines, and fruits. The initiative drew praise from Cabinet Minister Dara Singh Chauhan for its spirit of inclusive social service.

Lucknow, 8th September 2025:
Known as the “Medicine Man of UP” for his remarkable contribution to social service and
healthcare, Shri Rajesh Singh Dayal undertook a unique initiative by organizing a Free Health Camp
for inmates at Lucknow Jail through the Rajesh Singh Dayal Foundation.

The camp was inaugurated by Hon’ble Cabinet Minister Shri Dara Singh Chauhan, with DG Jail Shri
Prem Chand Meena and Jail Superintendent Shri R.K. Jaiswal also in attendance.

The health camp provided inmates with specialist medical consultations, a variety of health check-
ups, and free distribution of medicines. Additionally, fresh fruits were distributed among all inmates,
making the initiative holistic in nature.

In his remarks, Cabinet Minister Shri Dara Singh Chauhan lauded the efforts of Rajesh Singh Dayal,
saying:
“Dayal Ji has provided free healthcare services to nearly 2 lakh people across Uttar Pradesh and
facilitated over 50,000 cataract surgeries for senior citizens. His work is truly inspirational.”

He further highlighted that the government is actively working on improving healthcare facilities in
prisons, including the installation of Health ATMs. Shri Chauhan specially commended Dayal Ji’s
decision to celebrate the occasion with inmates, remarking:
“By choosing to celebrate among prisoners with healthcare, medicines, and fruits, Dayal Ji has set an
example of true social service that transcends all boundaries of discrimination.”

Rajesh Singh Dayal’s Commitment

Speaking at the event, Shri Rajesh Singh Dayal said:
“This medical camp is not just about medicines and tests – it is a message that you are not alone.
Society has not forgotten you, and most importantly, you have the opportunity for a new beginning.
One may dislike a crime, but never the person. Every human being deserves a second chance, and if
you truly resolve to change, no power in the world can stop you.”

He added:
“This is one of the most special days of my life because I spent it with a section of society that is
often neglected. My commitment is to continue organizing similar health camps in other jails across
Uttar Pradesh in the coming months.”

Remarks by DG Jail and Superintendent

DG Jail Shri Prem Chand Meena praised the initiative, stating that it reflects Rajesh Singh Dayal’s
deep sensitivity towards marginalized sections of society.

Concluding the event, Jail Superintendent Shri R.K. Jaiswal delivered the vote of thanks, noting:

“By celebrating among the inmates, Rajesh Singh Dayal Ji has proven that his vision of social service
is inclusive, unbiased, and truly dedicated to every section of society.”
