At a seminar held at the AMA Convention Center in Prayagraj, Dr. N. P. Singh, Executive Chairman of the Indian Education Board and a retired IAS officer, stated that the objective of establishing the Indian Education Board is to revive the indigenous education system while integrating Indian knowledge traditions with modern education. He stated that the country needs an education system that can instill self-respect, Indian values, ethics, leadership qualities, and a global perspective in students. The Indian Education Board has been formed with this objective in mind and is recognized as equivalent to national and state boards.
Dr. Singh, speaking at the Convention yesterday, explained that the board’s curriculum incorporates a balanced blend of Vedas, Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, Jain and Buddhist philosophies, stories of Indian heroes, constitutional values, the Gurukul tradition, and modern science and technology. He said that arrangements have been made to introduce young children to Indian philosophies through stories and poems, and to provide a detailed study of these subjects in higher classes. The curriculum also includes the life stories of approximately 120 great Indian heroes. He said that this education system will not only make students employable but also capable of creating employment. The board’s curriculum has also been developed to align with competitive examinations like UPSC, JEE, and NEET.
This board is equivalent to CBSE and grants recognition to schools from classes 9 to 12. Schools recognized for classes 1 to 8 can also seek affiliation with the Indian Education Board.
Among the distinguished guests present were Joint Director of Education Ram Narayan Vishwakarma, District Inspector of Schools P. N. Singh, and Joint Registrar of Allahabad University Major Dr. Harsh Kumar. Shri Bhagwan Singh, State In-charge of Bharat Swabhiman, also participated in the program.
