The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai and Whistling Woods International (WWI) have joined hands and announced a two-year MBA programme in Media and Entertainment. IIM Mumbai was ranked 6th in the NIRF ranking in 2024.
Both IIM Mumbai and Whistling Woods International (WWI) are premier institutions in the country, and the new course will provide young students an opportunity to groom themselves as professionals by learning world-class management skills in the media and entertainment sector.
Bollywood Director and President of Whistling Woods International, Subhash Ghai, posted on Instagram, “It’s a HISTORICAL DAY for two leading institutions like IIM Mumbai and Whistling Woods Mumbai to sign an agreement of collaboration by Whistling Woods International to develop the management skills of students in media and entertainment with a fast-growing industry. According to APN News, Prof. Manoj Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, is of the view that the programme will cover a wide range of subjects in the M&E spectrum, including film, TV & OTT, corporate finance, data science, brand management, emerging technologies & IP, animation & comics business, and M&E law and ethics.
Tiwari said the collaboration with WWI would enable the students to learn industry-driven, relevant topics and would shape their future in Media and Entertainment globally.

Aspirants will receive an IIM MBA and access to a network of industry leaders and professionals. Students will be admitted to the course through CAT scores and interviews. The inaugural session will start in June 2026.
