In 1983, Jai KrishanJajoo founded the Shubhashish Group, marking the beginning of a visionary entrepreneurial journey. Driven by a singular focus, he grew the company into a robust conglomerate with interests in real estate development, packaging, logistics, and financial management. In 2001, Jai KrishanJajoo conceptualized an NGO dedicated to rooting out illiteracy. Jagriti operates in the realm of combating illiteracy using free education among children in slum areas. His main purpose was to shift from entrepreneurial success into social service in order to encounter disparities among the community in slum areas.
The Jagriti initiative engages the whole city by adopting 21 schools across Jaipur and Ajmer for value-based free education for disadvantaged children to touch more than 33615 students since its inception. Over 9, 20,897 midday meals accompanied by dry rations were distributed during the COVID-19 pandemic for underprivileged students and their families. Not only that, but Jagriti also empowers girl children and women through free vocational training programs like stitching, beauty courses, etc., which has reached more than 12,500, out of which 3,000 received certified training. In JagritiAntimDarshanika, provides a 24/7 mobile mortuary service which has helped over 9,500 families and made them aware of eye, organ, and body donation, reaching 18,500 people through its efforts. Recognition and Achievements.
Many prestigious awards have recognized Jai KrishanJajoo’s invaluable contribution. Recently, he was honored by the Prime Minister of India, NarendraModi, with the National Youth Award in 2018 for his work as well as he was conferred an honor from London World Book of Records in 2023 for providing mobile mortuary services to over 8,500 families. For his contribution to the education sector, he was also conferred the Highest State Civilian Award for Social Service (2016) and has received ShikshaBhushan and ShikshaVibhushan Awards multiple times by the Government of Rajasthan. Most notably, he was awarded the BhamaShah Awards consecutively for two years, 2016 and 2017, for developing government schools and was awarded the Pride of Nation Award 2022 by Gen VK Singh for his social work. His work has also been awarded by the Change Maker Humanity Award (2022) and the International Vaish Federation for the transformation of underprivileged children.
