The Chief Minister further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has promoted household toilet construction under the Swachh Bharat Mission, ensuring dignity for daughters and women.

Fishermen cooperative societies in the Gangrel dam submergence area have regained the right to fish, following which members of these affected societies called on Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai at his residence yesterday to express their gratitude and felicitate him. Representatives from 11 fishermen cooperative societies of Gangrel submergence areas across three districts—Dhamtari, Kanker and Balod—were present on the occasion.

Responding to local demands, CM Sai assured the provision of an ambulance facility in the submergence area and the early opening of a National Bank branch for public convenience. He said the government has been consistently working for the upliftment of the poor and marginalized. Through various welfare schemes and programmes, the administration is committed to ensuring that citizens receive their due rights, while creating local livelihood opportunities that directly benefit people.

The Chief Minister further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has promoted household toilet construction under the Swachh Bharat Mission, ensuring dignity for daughters and women. Today, Swachh Bharat has turned into a mass movement. Similarly, through the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, ordinary citizens have been linked to the banking system, and benefits of schemes are now being transferred directly to beneficiaries via DBT, eliminating middlemen and curbing corruption.

He pointed out that the state government has re-entrusted the Ready-to-Eat scheme to women self-help groups, thereby creating avenues for women’s economic empowerment. “Our government remains steadfast in working for the upliftment and dignity of every section of society,” CM Sai asserted.
