The grand inauguration of the 93rd Founder’s Week celebrations of the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad was held on Thursday (December 4) at 9:30 am, under the chairmanship of Gorakhpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Lieutenant General Yogendra Dimri, Vice President of the State Disaster Management Authority (SDRF), will attend as the chief guest.
Organized at the Maharana Pratap Inter College playground, this event is regarded as Purvanchal’s most prestigious and largest academic gathering.
The seven-day celebration includes a wide range of academic and sports competitions. Over 125 educational and training institutions from the Gorakhpur division will participate in academic events, while contestants from across Uttar Pradesh will compete in speech, volleyball, basketball, and other sports competitions.
Dr. Nitish Shukla, a member of the Founder’s Week Celebration Organizing Committee, informed that after the address by the chief guest and the ceremony chairperson on Wednesday, the chief guest will take the salute at a grand procession led by students from numerous Shiksha Parishad institutions. The procession will start from the Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad campus, proceed along its designated route, and re-enter the campus through the Shatabdi Gate on Zila Parishad Road.
More than 1,000 teachers, staff members, and volunteers will be deployed to ensure the successful conduct of the grand opening ceremony. The procession will feature tableaux, disciplined marching, impactful slogans, and public awareness messages, which will be the major highlights.
