Patanjali has once again proven, through the integration of Ayurveda and modern science, that Ayurveda can provide solutions to even the most serious diseases. In research conducted by Patanjali, it has been confirmed that Cardiogrit Gold, a herbo-mineral medicine developed by Patanjali’s scientists, can treat cardiotoxicity caused by Doxorubicin, a widely used chemotherapy drug.
On this occasion, Acharya Balkrishna said that this research not only establishes the scientific relevance of Ayurveda on the global stage but also proves that if traditional medical practices are tested through a scientific approach, solutions to even the most complex challenges of modern medical science are possible.
Cardiogrit Gold is made from Yogendra Ras, Arjuna, Moti Pishti, Akeek Pishti, and other herbs and minerals, which are mentioned in ancient Ayurvedic texts as being effective in heart diseases.
He further stated that this research is not only the result of the tireless efforts of Patanjali’s scientists but is also a symbol of the revival of India’s eternal medical science, Ayurveda – at a time when the whole world is eager to embrace Ayurveda’s ancient tradition. Patanjali’s research further reinforces this belief and provides the public with a strong reason to adopt Ayurveda. This study is not only a significant step towards the renaissance of Ayurveda but also demonstrates that the union of tradition and science is an unparalleled gift to humanity.
Research conducted on the C. elegans model confirmed that under the influence of Cardiogrit Gold, these organisms showed an increase in food intake capacity, improvement in the condition of heart-like muscles, and a reduction in ROS levels. In addition, there was a notable increase in their length and reproductive capacity. The medicine also reduced the levels of Doxorubicin in these organisms, which proves that it is effective in reducing cardiotoxicity.
This research has been published in the prestigious international research journal Journal of Toxicology by Wiley Publications.
