New Delhi: The solar, wind, and green hydrogen business under Adani Group has had an exemplary year in 2025, marking record-scale expansion, substantial technological breakthroughs, and various maiden projects, as per sources.
PTI, citing informed sources, said Adani Solar has surged beyond 15,000 megawatt (MW) of accumulated shipments of its modules and has thus become the first and quickest Indian company to attain this milestone.
Over 1 GW installation of the largest onshore wind turbine, the Adani Wind, was achieved, and the first off-grid 5 MW green hydrogen project, run by solar power and battery storage, was commissioned by Adani New Industries Limited (ANIL).
These achievements were made in the context of a rapid acceleration in the Indian renewable energy sector in the year 2025 because of robust local demand, ambitious capacity expansion plans, and changes in the international supply chain.
Solar PV, wind energy, and green hydrogen were a high-growth area when manufacturers of such equipment were facing challenges of price volatility, technological benchmarks, and a stricter framework of sustainability and traceability.
Scale-Up and Trust in Performance
As per the report from the news agency PTI, from a technology perspective, it also fortified its position by expanding its footprint to more than 550 districts through a nationwide retail network and also obtained TÜV Rheinland certification for “long-term module reliability according to IEC 63209-1:2021.
The company achieved its eighth consecutive Kiwa PVEL Top Performer accolade and made it to numerous lists in top global and regional indices, such as Wood Mackenzie Global Top 10 Photovoltaic Module Manufacturers (2025) and BloombergNEF Tier 1 list in Q3 2025.
Wind: Production Capacity and Global Expansion
Adani World further entrenched its leading position as a next-generation turbine manufacturer in India, with a strong external order book of 304 MW from independent power producers, and a plan for internal sales of 2.5 GW to Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) during FY2026.
The sources told PTI that significant manufacturing milestones include the successful launch of the 300th nacelle, the speediest finish for the 500th blade, and the indigenization of India’s biggest wind turbine main shaft in association with Larsen & Toubro.
The company celebrated entering the global scene by delivering the first shipment of anti-icing blades to Europe, concluding design changes for 60-hertz in the US, and planning to enter Australia, Brazil, the Philippines, and Vietnam.
Green Hydrogen: First Ever in India
ANIL made the country proud by becoming the first to operationalize its five-megawatt off-grid green hydrogen pilot plant in Kutch. This fully solar-based plant, which has storage in the form of batteries, has an automatic closed-loop electrolyzer that can react to the variability of solar output.
The group reaffirmed its emphasis on skill development, process excellence, and sustainable operations. Teams of Adani Solar and Adani Wind won various national awards for quality and safety performance. Adani Solar won the ESG Transparency Award (Excellence) by EUPD Research in recognition of its governance and sustainability practices.
Moving Forward,”The Adani group’s clean energy entities in 2026 would look at emphasizing the localization of their production, accelerate exports, penetrate the next-generation solar and wind segment, and explore the early commercialization of green hydrogen, as the year has established the Adani group as leaders in the domain of the clean energy manufacturing thrust in India.” PTI quoted, citing the sources.
