Jabalpur: A shocking case has emerged from Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur city where a 53-year-old Economics Professor, Abdul Karim Khan, is accused of sending obscene and inappropriate messages to female students at OFK Girls College. The incident led to a widespread protest by the members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and prompted a police investigation.
The disturbing event came to light after a female student complained at the Khamaria police station. She provided WhatsApp screenshots as evidence to the police, which contained inappropriate messages. The girl alleged that the professor sent these messages to her after she asked for assignment questions. The WhatsApp messages sent by the professor read, ‘You are very sweet. I want to fuck you. Are you ready to do so with me? Reply me.”
Meanwhile, ABVP Student leader Anchal Mishra told the media that the professor also sent such offensive messages to six female students from the college. Following the complaint, the Jabalpur’s ABVP wing demanded stringent action against Professor Khan. They called for a thorough investigation and warned of legal consequences.

At the same time, OFK Girls College, within Khamaria police station limits, has come under scrutiny.
While sharing details with the media, Khamaria Police Station Incharge, Sarojini Toppo, said that they would take necessary steps in this matter.
In yet another similar incident that took place in Gwalior, a teacher named Azam Khan in Government Women’s Polytechnic College has been accused of sending obscene messages to a female student. The girl from the Architecture Department informed the college management and filed a complaint at Padav police station on April 7. She alleged that guest scholar Azam Khan was sending obscene messages to her mobile.
After no appropriate action was taken in this matter, members of ABVP started protesting. Thereafter, the college administration formed a three-member committee comprised of female professors to investigate the matter. They issued a notice to the accused, but he did not turn up. Based on evidence provided by the student, the college administration held him guilty and removed him from the post. Based on the complaint of the student, the Padav police have also assured swift action in the matter.
