YEIDA Initiates Land Acquisition For ‘Japanese City’ Near Noida Airport; Details Inside

The Japanese City will be developed in Sector 5 of Yamuna City. The authority has published the list on its official website for purchasing farmers' land and has given time to file objections within 15 days

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has started the process of land acquisition for the construction of ‘Japanese City’ near Noida International Airport. According to officials, companies in the electronics sector will invest here, especially in semiconductors, artificial intelligence (AI), green hydrogen energy, solar energy, and the automobile sectors. The Japanese City will be developed in Sector 5 of Yamuna City. The authority has published the list on its official website for purchasing farmers’ land and has given time to file objections within 15 days, as reported by Milleniumpost.

A senior YEIDA official said that ‘Korean City’ will be built in Sector 4 and ‘Japanese City’ in Sector 5. A total of 760 hectares of land has been earmarked for both projects, which will be acquired from farmers for Rs 2,544 crore. Half of this cost, i.e. Rs 1,272 crore, will be given by the Uttar Pradesh government, while the rest of the funds will be provided by the Yamuna Authority. The official said that 70 percent of the total land will be reserved for industrial use, 10 percent for residential, 13 percent for commercial, 5 percent for institutional, and 2 percent for roads and green areas. These urban areas will have an advanced road network, power supply, security, and other civic amenities. Employees of companies in the Japanese city will be able to avail of facilities like housing, schools, and hospitals in their own environment.
