There are many housing schemes currently promising a good life to the people. One of such scheme is YEIDA housing scheme. Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority came with a housing scheme in sector 22D. The YEIDA is more often discussed on daily basis one of the reason for this is the upcoming Noida International Airport.
Development in Noida and Greater Noida is major topic of discussion these days because of this Airport. One of such topic is of YEIDA Plot scheme.
The question comes about the condition of people who got flats under this scheme before.
On October 13, 2024, Resident Welfare Association (RWA) held a meeting. The meeting was attended by the people who were allotted flats under this scheme before.
The President of RWA stated that he was among those who applied for the scheme in the year 2013 and got allotment in 2014. However, the authority started allotting the flats in 2021. This happened after making several requests.
How Are The Basic Facilities?
The plots which were allotted by the authority didn’t have basic facilities. Also, the flats given were not fully prepared yet, as per media reports.
Seeing the condition of the flats, very few people took the possession of the flats. According to media reports, there are no government school and hospitals in that region. However, Vivo and Patanjali have established their plants there.
For living in an area any individual need basic things, but people don’t want to live in those flats just because they are not getting basic facilities.
Issue Of Water Supply In The Flats
RWA president mentioned that how can people live there as there is no water supply there. There is electricity support, once it is gone, one has to wait for few days for it to come back. Around 80-85 people are living there out of the total people who got flats under the scheme.
How Is The Road Connectivity?
The area don’t have good road. People living there have to travel few kilometres to get there. People have put there problems in front of CO. CO assured that work will be done on the problems he received.
Security Issue In The Region
There is security issue in the area, as transformer placed there got stolen. According to media reports, an office has been planted there by YEIDA, where they have put two security guards. Also, people living there faces problem due to faulty lifts.
