Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said that a Gujarati son – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel showed strength and cemented your independence and today, another Gujarati son has come for your development and welfare.

Addressing the gathering at Telangana, PM Modi said, “Recall the era of Nizam’s rule… While the country had achieved independence, Hyderabad and its surrounding regions were still striving for liberation. Nizam had posed significant challenges. A son of Gujarat – Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel displayed unwavering resolve and secured your freedom. Today, another son from Gujarat has arrived for your progress and well-being.”
He revealed that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader and Telangana Chief Minister KC Rao wanted to join National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

“When the BJP secured 48 seats in the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election, KCR sought support. Prior to this election, he used to greet me at the airport, but abruptly ceased doing so,” PM said.
“After the Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections, KCR visited me in Delhi and expressed his desire to join the NDA. He also requested my support. I conveyed to him (KCR) that his actions were incompatible with aligning with Modi…,” PM Modi stated.
Accusing the congress government of halting the passage of the women’s reservation for 30 years, PM Modi said that the alliance was compelled to to endorse the bill’s passage this time due to the collective strength of women.

“My sisters from Telangana have played a pivotal role in a significant revolution and have made history. Just a few days ago, the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam was passed in Parliament. The Congress and its INDI alliance, this ‘ghamandiya’ alliance, had obstructed the passage of this bill for the past 30 years. However, due to the collective strength of women, this alliance had to endorse the bill’s passage,” he informed.
However, PM Modi also inaugurated Rs 8000 crore development projects in Telangana.

“Today, I had the privilege of presenting over Rs 8000 crore worth of development projects to Telangana. These projects encompass a state-of-the-art NTPC plant that will inject new momentum into the state’s industrial development. The majority of the electricity generated by this NTPC plant will be dedicated to Telangana, thereby enhancing the quality of life in the state,” PM Modi underlined.
