Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Yasir Bhat, wanted for his involvement in a 2019 grenade attack at the Jammu bus stand, has reportedly gone missing while out on bail. Bhat, who had previously been involved in the attack that killed two people and injured several others, was last known to be in Srinagar.
Assistant Sub-Inspector confirmed the situation, stating, ‘Yasir Bhat, who was out on bail, went missing from Srinagar. We have distributed posters throughout the city and are urging the public to report any information regarding his whereabouts.’

Bhat, a resident of Khanpora-Dassein village in Kulgam, was assigned by Hizbul Mujahideen district commander Farooq Ahmad Bhat, alias ‘Umar,’ to execute the attack. He had traveled to Jammu with the grenade early one morning, but was apprehended by vigilant police officers at Nagrota while fleeing the scene. The police have intensified their search following his disappearance.
