Noida: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) launched a housing scheme on July 5 for 361 plots. The plots are scheduled to be allocated through a draw on October 10, instead of September 20. Though 361 plots were only available, a staggering 202,822 individuals applied for them. However, the authority’s revenue from the registration exceeds what it will get through the sale of the plots.

In total, the authority has collected Rs 12,230.9 crore through registrations only. The Yamuna Authority is providing 361 residential plots in sectors 16, 18, 20, and 22D for sale, located adjacent to the Yamuna Expressway Authority. It links Greater Noida with Agra and Mathura. The land parcels are conveniently located near the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE), the planned Film City, and the upcoming Noida International Airport.

120 Square Meter Plots

For 120 square meters, 84 plots are available. YEIDA has received a total of 73,153 applications for these plots. Out of these, 67400 people have selected option A and expressed their willingness to deposit the full amount for the plot to Yamuna Development Authority

162 Square Meter Plots

For 162 square meters, 77 plots are available. A total of 47,709 people have applied for them. Out of these, 44,345 applicants have selected Option A to make a lump sum payment. Surprisingly, Rs 1,950.4 crore has been deposited in the bank account of the Yamuna Expressway Authority for the registration of 77 plots.

200 Square Meter Plots

For 200 square meters, 3 plots are available. A total of 2,779 have applied for these plots. Among these, 2,532 people have selected option A committing to full payment. Consequently, Rs 140 crore has been deposited in the bank account of Yamuna Authority.

 300 Square Meter Plots

For 300 square meters, a total of 131 plots are up for sale. Around 59,387 applications have been received for these plots. Rs 4,454.3 crore has been received in the bank account of Yamuna Authority and 59,387 applicants have selected option A.

500 Square Meter Plots

For 500 square meters, there are 40 plots available. 10,427 applications have been submitted for these plots. Out of these, 9,849 applicants have opted for the A option. Yamuna Authority has surprisingly received Rs 1,328.5 crore for registration.

1000 And 4000 Square Meter Plots

Similarly, for 1000 square meters, 3,846 people have applied for 18 plots, with 3,696 applicants choosing Option A. For 4000 square meters, 8 plots are up for sale. 1,149 applications have been received so far for these plots. Rs 985.8 crore for 1000 square meters and Rs 1176.3 crore for 4000 square meters have been already deposited in Yamuna Authority’s bank account.

In a recent exclusive interview with ‘Tricity Today,’ CEO Dr. Arunvir Singh discussed the growing competition to settle in the Yamuna Vikas Pradhikaran area. Dr. Singh revealed that the population of Yamuna Vikas Pradhikaran is expected to be three times that of Delhi-NCR, in the coming years.
