New Delhi: Congress leader Sachin Pilot Sunday said he wrote to Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot over taking actions on corruption charges against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Vasundhara Raje but did not get a reply even after passing of one and a half of year.
“I wrote a letter to CM Ashok Gehlot and said that elections are coming and we must show the public that there is no difference between our promises and our work. But I have not received any answer from the CM yet…,” said Pilot.
Pilot reminded that these charges were levelled by the Congress itself during the time former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was in power. He asserted that believing the Congress leaders, public voted the grand-old party to power and dethrowned the saffron party.
He added that the party should take action as 4 years have passed so public and Congress workers should not think that “we don’t fulfil our promises.”
“We levelled those allegations against the government of Vasundhara ji together. I too levelled some charges as the then president of the state unit of the party. I do not believe in revenge politics. But we had some credibility as the opposition and that’s why we came to the power,” Sachin Pilot added.
The Congress MLA said that he sent the first letter urging to take action against Vasundhara Raje in March 2022 followed by another letter in November same year. However, he did not get a reply for any of them.
Neither using or misusing probe agencies
Taking a dig at the Centre, Pilot said “the central govt is misusing the central agencies. On one hand where central govt is misusing the agencies to target the leadership of Congress, but in Rajasthan, we are neither using them nor misusing them.”
