Wrestlers Vs WFI Chief: Delhi Police on Tuesday reached the residence of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. According to information, the police had reached Singh’s residence to record the statements of 12 people in connection with the sexual harassment allegations against the WFI chief. Delhi Police went to the spot and collected the names, addresses and identity cards of the people who gave their statements. It is being told that the police also interrogated many supporters of the WFI chief. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has so far recorded statements of a total of 137 people in connection with the sexual harassment allegations against the WFI chief.
Two FIRs registered against WFI chief
At present, it is not known whether the police have interrogated Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh at his residence or not. Earlier on April 28, Delhi Police had registered two FIRs against the WFI chief at Connaught Place Police Station.
The FIR, registered following a Supreme Court order, has charged Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including assault on a woman to outrage her modesty (Section 354), Sexual harassment (354A) and stalking (354D).
