New Delhi: In the latest, the Delhi Police on Friday informed Supreme Court that an FIR will be filed today against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh against the sexual assault charges.

As the news agency ANI reported, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta apprises Supreme Court that the Delhi Police will register FIR by today evening.

Senior Advocate Kapil Sibal urged the top court to issue directions to provide safety to woman wrestlers, under the monitoring of a retired judge. SG Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Delhi Police, said that all these concerns can be addressed by the cops.

Supreme Court directed Delhi Police to file an affidavit mentioning steps taken to provide security to minor girl. It further directed Delhi Police to make an adequate assessment of threat perception and provide security to minor girl.
