New Delhi: Ace grapplers Bajrang Punia and Sakshee Malikkh on Wednesday arrived at the residence of Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur to discuss on the demands of arresting Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh.
Early on Wednesday morning, the union minister invited the protesting grapplers for talks for the first time after the second term of the wrestlers protest started.
Earlier in the day, wrestler Sakshee Malikkh told the news agency ANI, “We will discuss the proposal given by the government with our seniors and supporters. Only when everyone gives their consent that the proposal is fine, then will we agree. It won’t happen that we will agree to anything that the government says and end our protest.”
