Bengaluru Police took five individuals into custody on Friday for assaulting a private firm auditor. Two of those arrested were coworkers of the auditor, who reportedly hired goons to carry out the attack, as per police statements.

After a video of the assault surfaced on social media, the police took action. The footage, recorded by a car’s dash camera, showed the accused men brutally beating Suresh, the auditor, with an iron rod on the ring road near Kalyan Nagar.
As per the police statement, Suresh is employed as an auditor at a dairy product company in Bengaluru. Umashankar and Vinesh, who were apprehended by the authorities, are reported to be his colleagues at the same company.
During questioning, the accused confessed to the crime, asserting that Suresh had exerted significant pressure on them. According to their statements, Suresh had been employed at the company for a year and held a strict stance as an auditing officer. Allegedly, he harassed employees and insisted that they promptly clear the stock balance.

Before Suresh’s arrival, the accused individuals were reportedly negligent and slow in clearing the balance, according to the police. Suresh brought this matter to the attention of the company’s management and took strict measures against Umashankar and Vinesh. Angered by Suresh’s actions, Umashankar sought assistance from a former colleague who introduced him to Sandeep, another individual involved in the incident.
According to the police, Sandeep, under Umashankar’s instruction, recruited several goons from KR Puram. He then tracked Suresh and carried out the assault using an iron rod. Following the circulation of the video, authorities in the Hennur area detained the accused individuals. Further inquiries into the matter are currently ongoing.
