New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Wednesday held the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) responsible behind the violence took place in the state during the Panchayat Polls.
Earlier, the BJP had alleged that at least 45 people were killed in the series of clashes took place at the pooling booths and nearby areas where people went to cast their votes and other such incidents.

Bengal Violence
The Panchayat polls took place on July 8. However, the incidents of violence started to be reported even before the day of casting votes. Bombings took place at rival leaders house and their houses were vandalised.
Meanwhile on the day of election, ballot boxes were looted, clashes broke out between police and civilians and many such incidents were reported.
