A woman shared her traumatic experience on social media while travelling aboard the Mahakaal Superfast Express from Indore to Kanpur. The woman alleged that a group of eight men allegedly harassed her during the journey and they claimed themselves as “Fauji”.

The woman narrated her suffering on the X platform, stating that men were passing vulgar comments, and singing vulgar Bhojpuri songs. She stated that the suffering continued till the train reached Sant Hridayram Nagar.

She wrote on X, "I’m a lady Travelling in Mahakaal superfast express from Indore to Govindpuri, Kanpur! A group of 8 rowdy men calling fauji themselves started commenting on my modesty,saying vulgar comments, singing vulgar bhojpuri songs and kept harassing me till Sant Hridayram Nagar!(1.)"

The woman also stated that the TTE did not take up the matter seriously and tried to silence her.
After highlighting her traumatic experience on social media, the Railway Police responded to her complaint and asked GRP Jhansi to probe the matter.
