After a landslide victory in the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections, DUSU President Tushar Dedha on Saturday said that they will get metro concession passes for the students.
Addressing the media, Dedha said, “Our primary objective is to secure metro concession passes for Delhi University students…”

“We are committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the students. Our victory today is a testament to our work among the student community. Although we lost one seat this time, we are confident that we will secure victory in all four seats next time,” Sachin Baisla, DUSU joint secretary stated.

ABVP on Saturday secured three seats while NSUI won the vice president post in the elections.
However, BJP national president JP Nadda took the matter to X (formerly know twitter) and congratulated ABVP for their victory.
He wrote, “Drawing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda’s ideals, ABVP has consistently ignited the flame of nationalism and selfless service in the hearts of our youth. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all ABVP karyakartas for their resounding victory in the DUSU Election 2023. This triumph underscores the widespread embrace of the ‘nation first’ ideology among our young generation, who are the architects of our nation’s future.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also wrote in Hindi, “Hearty congratulations to all the workers of the Council on the landslide victory of @ABVPVoice in the Delhi University Students Union elections.”
“This victory reflects the faith of the young generation in the ideology that puts national interest first. I have full confidence that the workers of the Council will continue to work with determination to keep the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and the spirit of nationalism alive among the youth,” Shah further wrote.
