In a bizarre incident, a disabled government school teacher asked the officials to first get him married, buy him a flat and get him treated before posting him on election duty in Satna.
This incident came in the light when the officials issued to the show cause notice following his refusal to do the election duty in the upcoming assembly polls 2023.

Akhilesh Kumar Tiwari, a 35-year-old teacher at Government Higher Secondary School in Mahudar, Amarpatan, Satna, raised eyebrows when he requested the district administration to allow him to get married before undergoing election duty training. This unusual request emerged as government school teachers in Satna district were instructed to undergo election duty training on October 16-17 in preparation for the Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.
Despite the official directive, Tiwari opted to refuse the training, prompting the district administration to issue a show-cause notice, seeking clarification for his actions.

In a rather unconventional move, on October 31, Tiwari provided a “Point to Point Reply” to the administration, outlining his unique demand. It came to light that Tiwari, who is unmarried, urged officials to facilitate his marriage before undergoing election duty training. In the letter shared on social media, he passionately expressed, “Get me married before the training. My entire life is passing without my wife, all my nights have been wasted.”
Adding to his request, Tiwari stipulated that he would agree to proceed to the island if he received a dowry of Rs 35 lakh. He also asked officials to grant him a loan for a flat in Rewa district. In his response, Tiwari mentioned that his hand was broken and that he was suffering from spinal diseases.
The letter, which bore Tiwari’s signature, also included a poetic line: “What to do? I have no words, you yourself are an ocean of knowledge.”
This unconventional request did not sit well with the district administration, resulting in the suspension of Satna Collector Anurag Verma on November 2.
