RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav’s ex-wife, Aishwarya Rai, on Monday slammed Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family, saying the family is creating drama as the elections are approaching. She questioned why they ruined her life.
‘The elections are near, that is why they have taken such a step’
“Why was my life ruined? Why was I beaten? Now they have suddenly had a social awakening. They are all together. They have not separated… The elections are near, that is why they have taken such a step and created this drama.,” said RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav’s ex-wife, Aishwarya Rai.
She further said, “Everyone knows what happened. If they (Lalu Prasad Yadav’s family) knew the whole thing, then why did they get him married to me? Why was my life ruined? Why was I beaten? Now they have suddenly had a social awakening. They are all together. They have not separated… The elections are near, that is why they have taken such a step and created this drama… I got information about my divorce from the media. All the information I got was through the media… I did not know what was going on… Ask them, what was the need to ruin my life? Where was their social justice when I was beaten?… Ask them, what about me?… They put the blame on me for everything. Now that it is out, he has had an affair for 12 years and blaming the woman is the easiest way out. When will I get justice? I will continue my fight.”

RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled his elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav from the party for 6 years, he also removed him from the family.
‘Lalu Prasad Yadav has made his stand clear’
On the other hand, Tej Pratap Yadav’s sister and party MP Misa Bharti said, “The national president of our party, Lalu Prasad Yadav has made his stand clear. The head of our family, my father, has made his stand clear. I do not have anything else to speak on it.”

Tejashwi Yadav backed the explusion
Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly,Tejashwi Yadav, on Sunday backed the explusion of his elder brother, Tej Pratap Yadav, from both his family and the party over a serious breach of moral and social values and said politics and personal life are different.
“We also don’t like such things, and what decision Lalu Yadav, that party’s chief and my father, has taken, we are with that. Politics and personal life are different. He (Tej Pratap Yadav) is my big brother, and what decisions he makes in his personal life are up to him only; what I have to do with that. He knows all the profit and loss that his decision will incur…” Yadav told reporters here.
