New Delhi: In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that he would boycott the NITI Aayog meeting as the central government did not follow cooperative federalism. 

In a two-page letter, CM Kejriwal wrote, “Tomorrow there is a meeting of NITI Aayog. The objective of NITI Aayog is to prepare the vision of India and promote cooperative federalism. The way democracy has been attacked in the last few years, non-BJP governments are being toppled, broken or not allowed to work, this is neither our vision of India nor cooperative federalism.”

for the past few days, many opposition parties, including AAP, are attacking the central government’s decision to bring an ordinance to nullify a Supreme Court order that gave power to the elected government over bureaucracy. 

Attacking the Modi government on the ordinance, Delhi CM said, ‘After eight years of fighting, the People of Delhi won the battle in the Supreme Court, they got justice. In just eight days, you overturned the order of the apex court by passing an ordinance. Kejriwal further wrote, ‘Why do you (PM Modi) want to paralyse the Delhi government? Is this the vision of India?

“People are asking that if the PM does not consider even the Supreme Court, then where will people go for justice?,” wrote Kejriwal.
