Maharashtra deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis criticized Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar for his remark against his wife. He said that Congress’ troll army’s statement against his wife is such that any person from civilized society would feel embarrassed. “‘Sharam aani chahiye, chullu bhar paani mein doob marna chahiye,” said the troll group.

He also mentioned that, “I am not surprised by this. My wife and I have suffered for the last 5 years. They could not find anything against me, they deployed all the agencies against me. They investigated everything from my hair to my blood but did not find anything against me. When they did not find anything, they started personal attacks on me”.
“Their troll army makes allegations against my wife but I told my wife that considering that we are in politics, we have to be patient,” he said.
BJP condemned Kanhaiya remark. BJP’s spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla calls Kanhaiya Kumar a ‘Naxal Afzal Guru supporter’ and accused that he disrespected Marathi women by making such statement on Amruta Fadnavis.
What Was Kanhaiya’s Comment?
While addressing a rally in Nagpur, Kanhaiya Kumar aimed at Devendra Fadnavis’s recent comment where he referred upcoming election as ‘Dharamyudh’. In response to ‘Dharamyudh’ Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar said, “It can’t be that the responsibility of saving religion is ours, while the Deputy Chief Minister’s wife is making reels on Instagram. Everyone must save the religion together”.
