Nuh-Mewat Correspondent
According to News 24 Nuh-Mewat correspondent, the investigating agencies have made a series of major revelations in the November 10 evening blast case in Delhi’s Red Fort area. It is said that just 10 days before the blast, the main accused, Dr Umar Nabi, rented a house in Nuh’s Hidayat Colony area for thousands of rupees a day. According to the reports, Dr Umar paid 10,000-15,000 rupees for the rent. Why did he rent a house just before the Red Fort blast? What was his plan?
Umar rented a house in Nuh-Mewat
Investigations have found that Umar was drawn to this house by two local youths, Shoaib and Rizwan. The youths helped him in his household, also. They would bring him items from the market, repair his car, and attend to all his needs. Dr Umar never stepped out of the house to avoid being identified. Sources indicate that his real aim was to build a white-collar terror module in the Mewat region.
He focused on doctors and educated youth, attempting to radicalise them by citing examples from Palestine and Kashmir. He targeted young people dealing with family or emotional issues, as they were easier to influence. This is why teams from central investigative agencies and the Haryana Police stayed in the area for nearly four days. Bomb squad and dog squad units were deployed, barricades were placed near the house, and CCTV footage from nearby shops was thoroughly examined.
Why did he rent a house in Nuh?
Dr Umar Nabi rented the house for reportedly hiding explosive material and equipment from Faridabad in Nuh. Sources also indicated that Umar’s real aim also included building a white-collar terror module in the Mewat region.
Young doctors in Mewat rejected the terrorist ideology
As per reports, Umar met young doctors in Mewat to lure them, but most of them rejected him. They did not take him seriously. Some even insulted him. He was also in contact with two doctors from Firozpur Jhirka, with whom he travelled on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. When the youth in Mewat did not respond to his attempts, Umar allegedly used abusive language against them. Investigating agencies say Dr Muzammil, a promising doctor, was at the centre of the conspiracy. He had planned to recruit educated but mentally vulnerable individuals for terrorist activities.
About Dr Shaheen Shahid
It is also said that a divorced woman doctor, Shaheen, came under his influence. It has also emerged that the explosives and equipment hidden in Faridabad were to be shifted to the rented house in Nuh. However, the prompt action of the investigative agencies foiled the plan. Intensive questioning of the two young men is currently underway, and agencies are working to trace the roots of the terrorist network in the Mewat region.
