According to media reports during police interrogation, he named gangster Anmol Bishnoi as the mastermind behind the plot. The motive? Bishnoi’s ties to notorious underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim and his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai bombings. The Confession Statement
The confessional statement of the accused shooter Shiv Kumar Gautam is a part of the chargesheet filed in the case of Baba Siddiqui’s murder on October 12. The accused claimed before the police that he was ordered to kill either Baba Siddiqui or his son Zeeshan Siddiqui. In return for the murder, he was promised a sum of 15 lakhs.
According to reports, the accused shooter told the police that he worked in Pune collecting scrap. He would sell this scrap to co-accused Harish Kumar Kashyap. The shooter revealed that Kashyap ran the scrap shop and had arranged accommodation for him. During this time, the shooter came into contact with Praveen Lonkar and his brother.
