Sunil Yadav, a drug smuggler wanted in India, was gunned down in a shootout in Stockton, California, on Monday. Armed assailants barged into his house in the 6700 block in the Stockton area. The gangs of Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara claimed responsibility for the incident. In Facebook post, the Godara and Brar gangs said they killed Yadav in revenge as he got gangster Ankit Bhadu killed in an encounter along with Punjab Police.
According to Stockton police, officers responded to a call from the area where Yadav was shot. Upon arriving at his house, they found him with gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene, the police reported.
In a Facebook post, the Godara and Brar gangs accused Sunil Yadav and his associates of luring the youth of Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan into drug addiction. They claimed Yadav was involved in selling narcotics with the help of corrupt police officers.
The Facebook post by Brar reads: “To all brothers, I, Rohit and Goldy Brar, take full responsibility for the murder of Sunil Yadav, alias Goli, in California. He colluded with the Punjab Police to orchestrate the encounter of our beloved brother, Ankit Bhadu. We avenged his death”
The post also mentioned the house number (6706) where Yadav was killed. The post further alleged that Sunil Yadav was in the drug trade, supplying narcotics to Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, and had ties with the police. It also claims that he fled to the USA after his role in Ankit Bhadu’s encounter was exposed.
The post concludes with a warning: “To all our enemies, be prepared. We will reach you, no matter where you are in the world”
Who Was Sunil Yadav
Sunil Yadav was a prominent figure in the drug mafia, notorious for smuggling drugs into India via Pakistan. Reports suggest he was previously linked to a seized drug consignment worth Rs 300 crore. As legal cases against him mounted in India, Yadav fled to the US two years ago using a fake passport under the name “Rahul” from Delhi. He entered the US illegally through Dubai and continued his drug smuggling operations on an international scale.
It is also alleged that Rajasthan Police had previously arrested one of Sunil’s associates with the help of agencies in Dubai. A Red Corner Notice was recently issued against him. Before fleeing to America, Sunil was reportedly involved with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and ran a drug racket in Dubai.
