The IPS focused on using psychology, environmental analysis, and technology to study haunted locations, rejecting superstition, rituals, and fear-based myths.

Investigating Haunted Places Across India

Gaurav Tiwari and his team investigated over 6000 locations in India, including famous sites like Bhangarh Fort, Mukesh Mills, and Lambi Dehar Mines.

Most paranormal incidents were later explained by infrasound, hallucinations, carbon monoxide exposure, or psychological stress.

Gaurav Tiwari became famous from the old MTV show Girls Night Out, where he spent nights in haunted buildings under camera surveillance. He also earned the title of India’s first mainstream ‘Ghost Hunter’.

How Gaurav Tiwari Died?

On July 7, 2016, he was found dead in his Dwarka apartment with a ligature around his neck. According to reports, it was a suicide, but his family denied it, stating that no suicide note was found.

Days before his death, he investigated a case in Janakpuri, West Delhi, involving a woman claiming to be haunted by multiple entities.

According to family statements, he later reported feeling mentally disturbed or “pulled by a negative force,” though no evidence supported this claim.
