Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha directed the police to take "immediate action” after a 19-year-old girl from Tripura, who was studying in Delhi, went missing on July 7. Police said the girl has been identified as Sneha Debnath, who hails from Sabnoom in South Tripura and was studying at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, which comes under Delhi University.

Investigators said that Debnath had a last conversation with her family member on July 7 around 5: 56 am. She informed the member that she was going to meet one of her friends, Pitunia, at the Sarai Rohilla Railway station. “After three hours, around 9 am, when her family members tried to contact her, her mobile remained switched off.
