Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Tejasvi Surya, on Thursday, March 5, 2025, tied the knot with Sivasri Skandaprasad, a popular classical singer from Chennai. The couple got married in an intimate ceremony that was attended by family members and close relatives/friends. Several BJP leaders shared the newlywed couple’s picture on social media. BJP MP Surya is seen donning a traditional wedding attire, while the bride is stunning in a golden yellow saree. The marriage ceremony took place at a resort on Kanakapura Road in Bengaluru.
Who Is Sivasri Skandaprasad?
Carnatic singer Sivasri Skandaprasad is a well-known classical figure of South India. She is also a highly skilled Bharatnatyam dancer. Besides being an all-rounder artist, Sivasri holds an impressive academic background. She pursued her bachelor’s in Bio-engineering from SASTRA University in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. She also holds a master’s degree in Bharatanatyam from the University of Madras and in Sanskrit from the Madras Sanskrit College.
Sivasri is the founder of Ahuti. She is quite active on social media and has over 144k followers on Instagram. She runs a YouTube channel that has more than 2 lakh followers. She gained widespread recognition for lending her voice to the Kannada version of the popular film Ponniyin Selvan: Part 1. She has received training from Guru Sri A. S. Murali.
Sivasri also performs at various musical events and holds concerts for her audience. She recently performed at JAAP, a musical event in Delhi. Her hobbies include cycling, trekking, traveling, and outdoor activities, as mentioned in her posts.
