An encounter took place between Gurugram police and miscreants near Wazirpur village on the Gurugram-Pataudi road. Four of the accused were shot during the exchange, and five miscreants were arrested in total after the incident. Around 18 rounds were fired in the encounter. The encounter took place on Tuesday night at 12:15. Apart from Crime Branch, Manesar and Sector-43, joint action was taken by the STF team. Police had received information that the accused wanted in Rohit Shaukin murder case and the accused who fired at singer Rahul Fazilpur would pass near village Wazirpur. There are reports that Gurugram police were targeting Rahul Fazilpuria.

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Fazilpuria contested from the Gurugram constituency on a Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) ticket. He was defeated by BJP candidate Mukesh Sharma, who secured victory by a margin of 1.22 lakh votes.
