Ahead of United States President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony, an artist from Amritsar, Punjab is making headlines for his gesture. Jagjot Singh Rubal, an artist has painted Trump’s 5X7 feet portrait as a congratulatory message from India.
During his interaction with ANI, he congratulated U.S. President-elect Donald Trump on his second term. He also commented that the India-United States friendship is beneficial for all.
“First of all, I would like to congratulate Trump, who is going to be the second president of the US. He is going to have an official ceremony tomorrow. I also wished him a painting from India,” Rubal said.
Who Is Jagjot Singh Rubal?
Jagjot Singh Rubal hails from Punjab and holds numerous achievements in the field of painting. He has received prestigious awards such as the Pablo Picasso and MF Hussain Artist Awards. In addition, Rubal holds 65 world records which highlight his artistic excellence.
Well this is not the first time that he has grabbed headlines for his work. He has painted several prominent figures like President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several United States President including Joe Biden, Indian Prime Ministers.
Recently, he was the talk of the town for his painting of Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant.
He has an Instagram account where he posts his paintings offering a pictorial delight to his followers.
Speaking to ANI, Rubal said that he had painted portraits of several world leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for which, he was heaped with praise.
“I have already painted previous three presidents of India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I have also received praise for them. The painting measures 5*7 feet,” he added.
Meanwhile, U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump kicked off the inaugural celebrations with a bang, attending a fireworks display at the Trump Sterling Golf Club in Washington DC on Saturday, CBS News reported. The event marked the beginning of a series of festivities leading up to Trump’s second inauguration as President.
