Who Is Jagdish Uikey? The Man Behind Hoax Bomb Threats To PMO, Airports, Hotels – Nagpur Police Reveals CHILLING Details

Security was beefed up outside the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday after Jagdish issued a threatening email. He alleged to protest unless he was given a chance to present information on the secret terror code he purported to have deciphered. He also sought a meeting with PM Modi to discuss his insights into terror threats, reports added.

Maharashtra: The Nagpur Police have arrested a 35-year-old man from Gondia in Maharashtra, sources said on Tuesday. He was allegedly linked to the hoax bomb threats that caused widespread panic, delayed flights, and heightened security measures at airports and other locations.

Who Is Jagdish Uikey?

Reports revealed that the suspect, identified as Jagdish Uikey, not only wrote a book on terrorism but was also arrested earlier in 2021 in a case. The Nagpur Police Special Branch informed the hoax emails traced back to him led to his identification.

Investigation Reveals Chilling Details

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Shweta Khedkar led the investigation uncovering chilling details against Jagdish. Officials said that he allegedly sent e-mails to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Railway Minister, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Airlines, Director General Of Police, Hotels, Railway Protection Force (RPF), and other government bodies.

Bomb Threats Shake Indian Aviation Sector

Bomb threats have shaken the Indian aviation sector, with more than 300 flights operated by Indian carriers receiving hoax bomb threats in the past 13 days up to October 26. It was reported that some 50 flights received bomb threats, including 13 operated by IndiGo and Air India on October 22.

The Centre issued an advisory to social media platforms on October 26, asking them to comply with the Information Technology (IT) Rules and Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and remove posts related to bomb threats. Many hotels and schools have also reported similar kinds of warnings, prompting authorities to check for security scans.
