Famous Malayalam film actress Honey Rose has filed a sexual harrasment complaint against the most popular Businessman, Boby Chemmanur, Where he was taken into custody on Wednesday(Jan 8). Boby Chemmanur known as ‘BoChe’ was taken into custody following a Special Investigation Team (SIT) formed by the Kerala police to look into the sexual harassment complaint. Based on Rose’s complaint, a case was registered against Chemmanur under non-bailable sections. Chemmanur was booked under non-bailable sections following Rose’s complaint.

What Exactly The Complaint Is

Without taking Boby’s name, Malayalam actor Honey Rose has claimed before that an ‘influential person’ is following her everywhere and is humiliating her continuously. She has shared a post on Meta (previously Facebook) claiming that the person is making Obscure statements
aimed at her. The actress said that recently that individual invited her to an event which she declined to accept. Following this he is continuously stalking her.

She said that sexual remarks were directed at her to demean women, and those were followed by actions driven by the same intent. Honey Rose has accused that the same man had been Maliciously following and disrespecting her with “derogatory remarks”. She claims this was an act of revenge because she refused to attend a function organized by him.The actress mentioned without disclosing his name.

The matter took an ugly turn when several people posted offensive comments on her post, which prompted the actress to lodge a formal complaint against 30 people along with Bobby. The Kochi Police registered a case agianst 30 people including him. Later when Bobby got arrested, She took his name and accused on Meta.

“It’s part of my job to attend events that I’m invited to. I’m open to feedback on my attire or creative criticism. However, I believe there should be some restraint in the comments. I’ve always made sure to wear outfits that are in line with the laws of our country.” she posted.

The fresh post contained his name and announcing her formal lodging of the complaints with Kochi police station. In the post addressing Boby Chemmannur, she said she filed a complaint against him at the Kochi Central Station. A Special Investigation Team (SIT), led by the Circle Inspector of Kochi Central Station, was constituted to investigate the allegations of sexual harassment filed by the actress against Chemmanur, a jeweller.

Arrested While Heading to a Jewelry Launch in Coimbatore

Boby Chemmanur, also known as Boche, was arrested in Wayanad while en route to Coimbatore for the opening of his new jewelry store. The inauguration was scheduled for today, with Boby Chemmanur and actress Hansika set to jointly launch the store. Despite his arrest, the inauguration went ahead as planned in Coimbatore. Bobby was taken into custody at his ‘1,000-acre’ estate resort in Mepadi, Wayanad. The local police were not notified about the arrest. The team had been at his tea estate since 4 a.m. The team had been stationed at his tea estate since 4 a.m. As Bobby attempted to drive away, the police dramatically intercepted his car and carried out the arrest.

Reports suggest that Bobby was arrested just as he was preparing to leave the state. The police had received prior information that he was planning to travel to Karnataka for the inauguration of his new jewelry store. Upon learning this, the Ernakulam Central Police team swiftly traveled to Wayanad. It appears that the police acted quickly to prevent Bobby from crossing the state border and seeking anticipatory bail, thus delaying the legal process. Bobby had also planned to head to Coimbatore early on Wednesday. The police took immediate action to stop him from leaving. Honey Rose had been assured of support from both the government and the police during her meeting with ADGP Manoj Abraham and Kochi City Police Commissioner. With this assurance, she consulted her lawyers and filed a detailed complaint, prompting the police to take decisive steps to prevent Bobby from leaving the state.

It’s reported that Bobby Chemmanur was planning to file for anticipatory bail with his lawyers in Kochi. He also intended to express his regret on social media. Honey Rose had recently spoken to the chief minister and the police chief regarding the matter. She also shared with the media her gratitude for the legal actions that were taken.

A middle-aged man, Shaji from Ernakulam was apprehended by Ernakulam Central police in connection with a case of cyber abuse on Monday.

Bobby’s detention follows the registration of a case against 30 individuals who allegedly posted obscene comments under Honey Rose’s Facebook post. On Tuesday night, based on Rose’s complaint, the Kochi Central Police registered a case against Chemmanur under various sections of the Bharat Nyay Samhita and Section 67 of the Information Technology Act.

The individuals will be charged under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including Section 75, which deals with sexual harassment, and Section 67 of the IT Act, which addresses the electronic transmission of obscene content.
