Following a week’s wait post the Rajasthan assembly results on December 3, the BJP has revealed the Chief Minister’s name, and it’s an unexpected choice once again – Bhajanlal Sharma. This decision marks the BJP’s selection of a Brahmin face for the CM role after Himanta Vishwa Sharma.
Amid surprising decisions made by the BJP, they announced their choice during the legislative meeting held on Tuesday, deciding the Chief Minister for Rajasthan after naming CMs for Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.

Who exactly is Bhajanlal Sharma?
Sharma is the representative for the Sanganer assembly constituency and has served as the party’s state general secretary on four occasions. His victory in the 2023 Sanganer seat race, securing a win over Congress’s Pushpendra Bhardwaj by a margin of 48,081 votes, highlights his recent electoral success.
During the legislative party meeting, Bhajanlal Sharma emerged as the chosen leader, backed by the BJP MLAs who view him as their leader. His election was unanimous and took place in the presence of observers, following a meeting between senior leaders and the observers before the legislative party gathering.
